Media are invited to attend the tenth annual Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Awards, supported by the Marly Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED),  the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO),  RSM McGladrey, Inc., and Saul Ewing LLP. The ceremony will recognize the achievement and potential among 22 current and graduate companies within Maryland's incubator network.

    Awards will be presented in various categories.  Previous years' categories included Life Science Company of the Year, Information Technology Company of the Year, Technology Service Company of the Year, Homeland Security Company,  New Incubator Company of the Year,  Technology Transfer Company of the Year,  and Graduate Company of the Year.  New to this year's awards is the category of Green Company of the year. A committee made up of representatives from the business and invest communities, and sponsoring organizations select award recipients.  The committee selects recipients based on a nomination form,  on-site visits,  and interviews with incubator managers and references.  Finalists will have the opportunity to display their products and services at the awards ceremony.  Award winners also receive an invitation to present at Early Stage East, a regional, early stage investment event.
